Tropicana removes the letters ‘AI’ from their name. TROPCN is the new name.
Tropicana recently adopted a marketing mimic approach. The brand removed the letters ‘AI’ from the name to point out that there are no artificial ingredients in the juice. It claims that the juice is prepared freshly with freshly picked oranges.
“Artificial Intelligence,” which is referred to as AI, is spreading its magic around the world. Each AI development is bringing us closer to the artificial world and farther from the natural. Therefore, the brand decided to remove the ‘AI’ letters to show the natural touch of the freshly made juice.
”Our limited-edition run of ‘Tropcn’ orange juice bottles represents our ongoing commitment to delivering the highest quality 100% orange juice to Americans,” said Monica McGurk, CEO of Tropicana Brands Group’s North American business unit. “Since 1954, Tropicana has been at the forefront, innovating ways to bring fresh-tasting orange juice from natural oranges to breakfast tables nationwide. Artificial just isn’t in our DNA.”
With the increased awareness about healthy dietary patterns, customers nowadays are looking for beverage options that are low in sugar and are freshly prepared. Traditional fruit juices are no longer considered healthy breakfast options. Though the brand captures an authentic position in the juice market but still losing its brand value to the more natural products.
Tropicana claims to sell purely fresh juice with no added sugar and preservatives.
The brand has not officially changed its name permanently rather it has supplied only limited bottles. Only 100-200 bottles are hidden in the Kroger grocery stores with the new temporary brand name.
