Zomato has recently launched a pure vegetarian delivery fleet catering to customers who strictly adhere to a vegetarian diet and prefer not to encounter any non-vegetarian meals. It has launched a pure veg delivery fleet. Zomato aims to provide comfort to individuals who feel uneasy at the sight or smell of non-vegetarian food.
Statement by the founder of Zomato
Deepinder Goyal, the founder of Zomato, has announced that they have a dedicated Pure Veg Fleet that will only serve orders from these pure veg restaurants. This means that a non-veg meal, or even a veg meal served by a non-veg restaurant, will never go inside the green delivery box meant for our Pure Veg Fleet.
However, Goyal clarified that the move is not meant to serve or alienate any religious, or political preference.
Also, the company is launching a new initiative next month to deliver cakes in a separate fleet ensuring they arrive free from smudges and in perfect condition.
